Serving Our Community

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Australian Air League Sutherland Shire Squadron undertakes an extensive range of community service activities. By volunteering their time to provide service to other people and the local community, cadets learn to accept responsibility, respect other people's circumstances and make a positive influence to other people's lives.

As part of our service to the community, cadets spend several hours every year providing assistance to Senior Citizens, as well as charity fundraising events and other community activities. We are heavily involved in ANZAC Day services and other commemorative events, with Sutherland Shire Squadron mounting a Flag Party for our local RSL Sub Branch every year. Our cadets also participate in Reserve Forces Day and Remembrance Day services.

All time spent undertaking community service is recorded and contribute towards the Australian Air League Community Service Medal. If you would like to see your child make a positive influence to the local community, please contact us to find out about getting involved.
